Blacklist & Card Corrections

Like historians, Historical Conquest sometimes needs to make corrections.

Forever under construction. More clarifications are added as they come up. Please share your insights, and any cards or rules we need to clarify — tell us here.

Blacklisted cards

Specifically for tournament play.

Cards withdrawn from tournament use are listed here as rulings are made. If you are running a tournament and are unsure about a card, ask us before the event rather than during it.

Clarifications on rules

Vessel cards
Vessel cards are played in a Land, and that Land receives the benefit of the vessel’s ability. If the Land the Vessel occupies is taken by an opponent, that Vessel may be taken by your opponent or discarded. The Vessel may move as the one transport each player is allowed per turn.
The Morale cap is per ROUND, not per turn
Each player may increase or decrease by 800 Morale points per Round. A Round is defined as beginning when the person who started the entire game starts their turn, and continuing until the last person who played in that round restocks their hand after their turn.
Rasputin, Simón Bolívar and Guy Fawkes
These three stay in their Land either until that Land changes hands, or until they are the last card to be removed. If you lose the Land in battle, they are always the last card removed. If you have a card that saves them from the discard pile, they must be placed in a Land from the same continent — otherwise they are discarded even though a card was played to save them.
Cards saved from the discard pile
A card saved from the discard pile must be placed back in the same Land it came from, or another Land in the same continent. If you have already transported that turn, it must be returned to the same Land or discarded — even if the card played would have saved it.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation
The card reads: Choose 1) Reverse the effects of any character played against you, OR 2) No one can spy or take any of your cards (including your hand). Correction: option 1 is a Hold, Interrupt card, and it can be used one time.
